This small luxury hotel, originally a distinguished country house, boasts a wealth of fine antiques, porcelain and paintings. The house’s historic character – it dates from the 17th century and served as a rectory in Victorian times – has been magnificently preserved. In addition to the antiques, there are beautifully restored Edwardian bathrooms, original brasswork, open fireplaces, ornate mouldings and outstanding mahogany and oak panelling.
