Welsh Rarebits are known for their individuality. Plas Tan-yr-Allt certainly proves the point. We’re sure that poet Percy Bysshe Shelley would have approved of the arty, slightly bohemian atmosphere that makes Plas Tan-yr-Allt such a distinctive Rarebit. Shelley once lived in this ravishingly attractive Regency-style Grade II Star house that dates from 1800. It’s once again full of life and colour, thanks to Nick Golding and Michael Bewick, who were drawn to ‘Tanny’ by its ‘tranquil beauty and inspirational qualities’. Tanny's range of rooms - all one off's and named after artists, writers and eminant local figures - suits all moods and tastes. The décor is an inspired mix of old and new – antiques, beams and original panelling sit well amongst striking colours and contemporary design touches, a tribute to the zest and taste of its enthusiastic owners. The ultra-modern bathrooms are to the standard you’d expect of a luxury boutique hotel, and most come with slate floors and underfloor heating.
