Under the experienced stewardship of David Hennigan it goes from strength to strength. Great attention has been devoted to the rooms as well as the food. The bedrooms are compact but exceedingly comfortable and luxurious. All are individually styled with a contemporary look and are equipped with the latest multi-media systems so guests can enjoy the best of both worlds – good food and accommodation. Nonetheless, the restaurant remains at the heart of this idyllic little hotel. The very best local produce is used in preparing The Crown’s French influenced modern cuisine. The leafy location adds to the magic. The hotel is set above the stretch of the Wye Valley that is designated an ‘Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty’. In the unlikely event of guests needing to build up an appetite, there are plenty of outdoor diversions, including walking (on some outstandingly beautiful woodland trails), fishing (in the famed River Wye), and golf. Closed Sunday evenings and Mondays.
