The restaurant enjoys a reputation for excellent food and fine wines, served in attractive surroundings. The bedrooms, which include a number of well-appointed studios, are spacious and finished to a high standard – all have been subject to a programme of upgrading. And there’s a choice of bars. Latest development is a striking new conference and banqueting suite, opened in 2005. This superior coastal hotel, hosted by Mark and Noelle Gulesserian, extends a warm welcome – warm enough for the hotel to receive prestigious awards for its hospitality. Staff are very friendly, the beach is just a short walk away, the hotel has a heated indoor pool, and local facilities include a testing 18-hole golf course. Many of Anglesey’s most popular spots are close by, including the spectacular South Stack cliffs, lighthouse and birdwatching centre, the wildlife haven of the Malltraeth Estuary, and the vast, forest-backed beach at Newborough. Trearddur Bay Hotel is also perfectly placed for those travelling to and from Ireland on the high-speed HSS and Superferry services from the nearby port of Holyhead to Dun Laoghaire and Dublin.
