Wolfscastles’s intimate restaurant has earned a reputation far and wide for its tempting menus, which feature both haute cuisine and good home cooking. Wolfscastle, set on its own amongst trees in a rural landscape is – paradoxically – one of the best centres from which to explore the untouched cliffs, bays, coves and beaches of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with its rich birdlife. Only 8 miles from the sea, the hotel is conveniently close to the port of Fishguard and the spectacular coast footpath. The tiny cathedral city of St David’s and Newgale’s attractive, spacious beach are both on the doorstep, together with an appealing range of places to visit which include the Tregwynt Woollen Mill (one of Wales’s finest), the Llangloffan Farmhouse Cheese Centre, the Preseli Hills, ancient Pentre Ifan Cromlech and a variety of craft and pottery workshops. You can look forward to a warm welcome at this friendly, extremely convivial hotel. Your host is Andrew Stirling, ably aided and abetted by Marilyn Sarre and Sandy Falconer.
