Penmaenuchaf Hall Hotel near Dolgellau is perched in an elevated position overlooking the Mawddach Estuary and the southern fringes of Snowdonia National Park.
The manor house was built in 1860 by a wealthy cotton magnate who fell in love with the stunning views, and decided to build his stately home in a location where he could enjoy them.
Current owners, Mark Watson and Lorraine Fielding, have lavished time and effort restoring this fine country house hotel. The latest addition to the hotel is a garden room restaurant called Llygad yr Haul, which is, as its name suggests, is a sunny space, with fantastic views over the surrounding country.
