More Information

Many guests make the trip to this hotel in the leafy, green heart of Pembrokeshire to enjoy its excellent, sensibly priced food and genuine hospitality.  Wolfscastles’s intimate restaurant has earned a reputation far and wide for its tempting menus, which feature both haute cuisine and good home cooking.  Its delicately cooked seasonal vegetables are quite superb, and fresh, locally caught fish is one of the specialities.  You’ll enjoy good accommodation too in comfortable, well-appointed bedrooms, which – like all good hotels – benefit from a rolling programme of upgrades to ensure high standards.

Wolfscastle, set on its own amongst trees in a rural landscape is - paradoxically - one of the best centres from which to explore the cliffs, bays, coves and beaches of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, a seashore renowned for its wild natural beauty and rich birdlife.  Only eight miles from the sea, the hotel is conveniently close to the north coast port of Fishguard and a particularly inspiring stretch of the coastal footpath (don’t miss the tiny harbour at Porthgain).

The small cathedral city of St David’s and Newgale’s attractive, spacious beach are also on the doorstep, together with an appealing range of places to visit which include the Tregwynt Woollen Mill (one of Wales’s finest), the mysterious, atmospheric Preseli Hills (source of Stonehenge’s bluestones), ancient Pentre Ifan Cromlech and many craft and pottery workshops.  You can look forward to a warm welcome at this friendly, extremely convivial hotel.  Your hosts are Andrew and Mandy Stirling and Bill Crews.
