Glamorgan Heritage Coast

Great for...

This beautiful part of the country boasts dramatic cliffs, amazing rock formations, secluded romantic coves all backed by rolling countryside making it a perfect home for a vast array of species and therefore great for bird watchers. Along this beautiful coastline you will also find some stunning beaches, popular with families as well as the odd surfer at Dunraven Bay. Porthcawl is a mecca for the adventurer, you can try your hand at kitesurfing, jet skiing, sea kayaking and wakeboarding here with lessons available for all levels.

Our Take...

If you are looking for a dog friendly holiday then look no further. There are several beaches along this coastline that welcome dogs all year round. We particularly like Porthkerry in Barry, a wide pebble beach that adjoins the Porthkerry Country Park.
